Southeast University (SEU) is one of the national key universities administered directly under the Ministry of Education of China. It is also one of the first universities accredited by the State Council to determine and approve the qualifications of professors, associate professors and doctoral supervisors. It is also one of the universities of Project 211 and Program 985 that is financed by the central government to build as a world-class university.Now, Southeast University has become a comprehensive university of high reputation comprising of various Schools departments of science, engineering, art, social sciences, law, economics, management, languages, etc., with engineering as its focus.

Hohai University is a state key university under the direct jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education of China.
Now it has become one of the universities on China’s state “Project 211” and one of the 56 universities in China with graduate schools.
It is a comprehensive university with research and study of water resources as its main focus, education of engineering subjects as its first priority, and coordinated development of a wide array of disciplines covering engineering, science, economics, management, liberal arts, and law.

Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics(NUAA), established in 1952, enjoys a well-balanced development of multiple disciplines in natural sciences, humanities, social sciences, management, etc. with the characteristics of aeronautics, astronautics and civil aviation. NUAA is among the first batch of national key universities entitled to award doctoral degree, master’s degree and bachelor’s degree. It has been listed in the “National Project 211” as one of the 100 key universities for the 21st century. Presently, NUAA has established international cooperation and exchange with more than 60 universities and institutions all over the world.

Jiangnan University, dating back to 1902, locates in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, which is the core of Yangtze River Delta. Jiangnan University functions directly under Ministry of Education, and sees quality as her life line. Now there are 17 schools, covering fields of economics, education, laws, literature, science, medicine, engineering, agriculture, business etc., among which food science, fermentation, textile, industrial design play the leading role in nationwide, and have great influence in the world. Nanjing University of Finance and Economics (NUFE), one of the key comprehensive universities in Jiangsu Province, is oriented to the disciplines of economics and management, coupled with those of laws, humanities, science and technology.

Located in Suzhou, an ancient city popularly called “the Paradise on Earth”, Soochow University is a key comprehensive provincial university in Jiangsu Province and also one of China’s top 100 universities under the“Project 211” directed by the Ministry of Education. At present, Soochow University runs twenty post-doctoral research stations, six Ph.D. programs of primary disciplines, eighty-five Ph.D. programs（including self-designed majors）, one professional doctoral program of primary disciplines, 209 master’s degree programs（including self-designed majors）, 10 professional master’s degree programs as well as 108 undergraduate programs. Every year the university accepts over 2,000 international students to study Chinese language and literature and other relevant majors.

One of the national key universities under "Project 211", Nanjing Normal University, traced back to "Sanjiang Normal Institute" established in 1902, claims "Suiyuan campus", which is renowned as “The Most Beautiful Campus in the East”, "Xianlin campus" and "Zijin campus" with an area of more than 200 hectares. NNU has 25 schools and offers 80 undergraduate programs, 199 graduate programs and 130 doctoral programs in humanities, social sciences, science, engineering, and art. There are 25,000 full-time students now. NNU, National Base for Teaching Chinese for Foreigners, is one of the earliest universities to open up to the world in China. International students have made their way to NNU since 1965. The university accepted 1600 international students from 123 counties in 2011. NNU has set up 3 Confucius Colleges overseas and has established cooperative relationships with 145 universities in 28 countries and region.

China Pharmaceutical University (CPU), originally the National Pharmaceutical School founded in 1936, is China’s first independent school of pharmacy and it is one of the “211 project” key universities affiliated to the Ministry of Education of China. CPU is the earliest institution authorised by the Ministry of Education to admit full-time pharmacy students and visiting scholars from overseas. CPU is also the host institute of Chinese Government Scholarship, Jiangsu Jasmine Scholarship and Nanjing Government Scholarship and it started to recruit international students as early as in 1977. CPU consists of 10 colleges and departments and offers 22 bachelor’s degree programs, 29 master’s programs, and 24 doctoral programs, and it has established complete English-taught programs at bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels. Its Pharmacy discipline ranks No. 1 and Traditional Chinese Pharmacy discipline ranks No. 3 according to the latest statistics of the Ministry of Education of China.

NUPT now runs 3 mobile post-doctoral stations, 3 first-level discipline doctorate programs, 14 second-level discipline doctorate programs, 10 first-level discipline master’s degree programs, 34 second-level discipline master’s degree programs, 13 Profession-oriented master’s degree programs (fields), and 53 undergraduate programs. Three programs of the university have made the world’s top 1% on the ranking by ESI. NUPT is home to 7 National Special Major Trial Programs, 1 Trial Program of National Comprehensive Degree Program Reform, 3 Majors passed the National Engineering Education Professional Certification, 18 Jiangsu-funded Special Programs or trial ones, 8 National Excellence Initiative Programs, 18 Jiangsu Brandname Special Programs (or under development), 5 Jiangsu Brandname University Programs (Phase one), 5 Jiangsu Excellence Initiative Programs, 9 Jiangsu Key Programs. The university now offers education to around a total of 30000 students.

The University has 26 colleges, and close to 30,000 students including overseas students, undergraduates, and master's degree and PhD candidates. It has 5 post-PhD stations, 35 PhD programs, 107 master's degree programs, 19 programs for Master of Engineering, and 80 undergraduate programs. And it has also become a university comprising eight branches of learning, namely, engineering, science, management, economics, liberal arts, law, philosophy, and medicine.

Yangzhou University （YZU） is a key comprehensive university in Jiangsu Province. As one of the largest universities in the most economically vigorous area in China, YZU has been striving to provide high quality education to its students since 1902. Today YZU offers 123 undergraduate programs, 198 master’s programs, 45 doctoral programs in 27schools. More than 33,000 undergraduates and over 9,000 graduates are studying full-time on its 8 campuses. In addition, there are more than 11,000 adult students studying part-time in its continuing education programs. YZU attaches great importance to international exchange and cooperation.
