Foreign Students Step into Forests Identifying Chinese Herbs

On June 4, oversea students studying in China Pharmaceutical University and Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine learned to identify different herbs under the guidance of Professor Wei Gu ( third on the left of the picture) from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine.

With the help of doctors from Nanjing Hospital of Chinese Medicine Qinhuai District and teachers belonging to Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, 35 foreign students from different countries or regions such as USA, UK, Chile and Thailand stepped into forests in the suburbs of Nanjing where they could have their first experience of various Chinese local herbs. They gathered herbs, identified herbs, got a knowledge of origins and charming characters of Chinese herbs and appreciated culture of Chinese herbs.

On June 4, Xue Liang (first on the left of the picture), Director of Nanjing Hospital of Chinese Medicine Qinhuai District and Yan Hui (fourth on the left of the picture), professor of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, guided foreign students to identify Chinese herbs in the forest.

On June 4, Han Jun (first on the left of the picture), Vice-Director of Nanjing Hospital of Chinese Medicine Qinhuai District, guided foreign students from China Pharmaceutical University and Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine to identify Chinese herbs in the forest.

On June 4, Li Simeng (first on the right of the picture), professor of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, guided foreign students from China Pharmaceutical University and Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine to identify Chinese herbs in the forest.

On June 4, foreign students from China Pharmaceutical University and Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine learned how to gather Chinese herbs in the forest.
