On January 2nd 2017 40 students from the USA, Australia, and the Netherlands will land in Shanghai to partake in RHT’s Advantage Program. In a space of 2 weeks the students will visit multiple universities and companies in Nanjing, Suzhou, and Yangzhou. The initiative, led by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education (JPDE), is designed to showcase Jiangsu’s status as a leader of education and industry in China, and encourage top foreign students to study and, ultimately, work here.

Nanjing University of the Arts has taken a leading role in the exciting new program, by becoming the host university. Throughout the 13 days it will show the students it’s hospitality by hosting dinners, arranging a traditional cultural performance, teaching them Tai Chi, and running a student panel.

Companies throughout the province have been eager to play a role in the program as well. Local companies and global brands such as Baidu, China Telecom, Fairmont, Nemak, and Original Force, amongst others, will all give tours to the students and promote the world class facilities found in Jiangsu.

As the pilot program, the 2017 intake will be the first of many Advantage Programs to be run. RHT is already planning future intakes, and is looking forward to further helping Jiangsu increase its global profile, and attracting top talent to its universities & businesses.
